When Snyder Paper — a trusted, family-owned company based in Hickory, NC — began planning the expansion of their High Point Cushion facility, the goal was clear: create a space that supports long-term growth, increased production capacity, and a safe working environment for their team. Known for providing packaging, janitorial, and food service supplies throughout the region, Snyder Paper operates across multiple divisions, including its Cushion Manufacturing Division, which focuses on custom foam fabrication and cushioning products. The new 300 Fraley Road location in High Point is one of three facilities dedicated specifically to cushion manufacturing. Relocating to this larger property gave Snyder Paper the opportunity to expand operations and better serve its customers — but it also introduced new challenges for security, safety, and facility management.
To make the move as seamless and secure as possible, Snyder Paper partnered with ACE-HTI to design and install a comprehensive security and access control system tailored to the new space. The project included a Turing Camera System with over 60 days of video storage, Alarm.com Access Control integration for centralized management between Hickory and High Point, and new door hardware installations on all entry points to ensure free egress and meet all fire and safety requirements. ACE-HTI also provided custom conduit work for a clean, professional installation and took care of all required permits — streamlining the process and ensuring compliance every step of the way.
For Snyder Paper, having a reliable security system was especially important since their corporate team operates primarily out of Hickory. The new setup allows them to monitor multiple locations from one platform, manage access remotely, and maintain full visibility across sites.
“The new Turing camera system and Alarm.com access control integration has allowed us to manage, have visibility, and most importantly, given us the peace of mind that there is more safety for our employees with very limited unauthorized access to the building at all times,” said Lindsay Drum of Snyder Paper. “This is important to us since our corporate office is in Hickory, NC.”
The installation process was smooth and efficient, with ACE-HTI completing the work without disrupting daily operations.
“We had a great experience working with ACE-HTI,” Lindsay added. “They were easy to work with, worked efficiently, and did not interrupt our operations in our High Point facility during business hours.”
From planning through permitting and installation, ACE-HTI was proud to deliver a fully connected, code-compliant system that gives Snyder Paper confidence in their investment and peace of mind for their team. This project stands as another example of how ACE-HTI helps North Carolina businesses stay secure, connected, and ready for growth.
